OUR HUNGER FOR PEACE
Recent events both at home and abroad indicate the urgent need to find more peaceful, compassionate and respectful ways of living together on our small Blue Planet. We live in a world that is increasingly becoming more aware of its shrinking borders and its inter-dependency.
The day will provide the opportunity for us to focus on this important topic. We will use some video input from the Middle East , an area that has suffered conflict for thousands of years. We will have video input from one or two Palestinian Peace Activists and readings from the shared Universal Wisdom of some of the major Faith Traditions. There will be time set aside for input, personal reflection and sharing .
As part of our day and its input; we are very glad to welcome a guest speaker
Special Speaker :- Win Sutton ( Quaker Peace Activist)
Win is a Quaker who earlier this year visited Palestine/Israel and met with a variety of people working actively to promote peace in this region. She will share with us some of her experiences.
This is the 1st of our three days of reflection from our Satsang Programme between September 2011 and July 2012. We also meet every 2nd Saturday of the month and our full programme can be accessed on our website .
